For 6 strings, I would probably suggest an ESP. Really any ESP will do the job.

But honestly, you'll like never use the range a 6 has, 4's normally fine for most music. And for that, I would suggest a Flea Bass. Amazing tone, amazing feel. <3

I may not know much about guitars, but I probably narrow down your search to wood/electric and what kind of music you like to play.
