one of the main attractions of a public build is convenience. that sounds ... inconvenient. it depends how readily available the bricks are for download. why does it need that many?

i hate using brickpacks, i only use the most popular / necessary

You should establish a preference for default-only or -mostly bricks and also possibly a section on telling people exactly what colors are used in the build if they want to use the build with the right colors but prefer their own colorset.

I don't like to use brickpacks if I am sharing the build, because I don't feel like posting links to 50 add-ons.

Then you'd be left with one choice. All the bricks (and all the datablocks and menu complications) or none of it.
