Claire turns on her stuff. Ryan sits there idly because co-pilots dont do stuff ever and then the defensive systems officer is Markus.

"What's the anti aircraft situation near the complex?"
"HEY, TALON."

Markus stares idly at his radar screen, glances at Claire, and back at his screen.

"Do we have an estimated arrival time, or do I get plunged into this without warning?"

"HEY, TALON."
"Oh, er, sorry. I would assume that it's well-guarded, and I'll be surprised if it's not."

"ETA. 2 hours, but we'll definitely encounter fighters before then."
The radio buzzes.
"Sky Eye here. We've got three enemy fighters moving to attack the bombers. Intercept."
I switch to my special weapon, the QAAM, which can hit anything no matter where it is or how maneuverable the enemy plane is.
I lock on to one of the enemy planes WHEN HE'S BEHIND ME and fire, ripping his plane to shreds.

"Aimhacks ban," I say dryly, peeling off from the group and quickly taking down the other two fighters, taking mild damage.

I chuckle at the first comment.
"No aimbot, it's the way the missile's designed."
I see the damage.
"Wing damage confirmed, you alright?"

"I can fly, I'll be fine."

"I can fly, I'll be fine."
"Roger that."
An hour and a half later...
"Sky Eye here. 30 minutes to target."
I mutter, "I should seriously sneak some Coke loaded with caffeine in this thing. I'm exhausted."

I put my sunvisor down and strap my oxygen mask on to get HIGH ON LIFE calmed down before the run.

I put my headset back on, and watch the radar much more intently. My finger sits on the chaff trigger, tense and jittery.
