I launch a missile at a SAM, destroying it and the deck and hull of that portion of the ship, splitting it.
"Sky Eye here. Enemy Aegis destroyer sent to the bottom."
On the radio, the following can be heard:
"The Neverland has taken a hit! All personnel abandon ship! I repeat, all personnel abandon ship! She's going under!"

Just as I'm about to make another pass, I hear yet another warning tone, this time indicating a SAM launch. Before I could begin searching the horizon, I see a column of smoke appear from the ground ... in front of me?! The SAM started to veer towards me, and I looked at it head on. "stuff!" My mind is plunged into Tachypsychia as all of my mental faculties are occupied with dodging the incoming missile. A collision like this would be certain death.

...Now! I swerve down left, making full use of my control surfaces, pumping chaff and flares throughout the maneuver.

The missile just barely whizzes past my canopy, and for a fraction of a second I was able to observe it closely. As it floated by, I could feel the wake turbulence generated by the missile engine rocking my aircraft.

"forget!"

I exhale sharply, and my senses come rushing back to me. My eyes are wide open, and I realize I'm drenched in sweat.

"Crow 7, you have a missile, break!"

Too late. Crow 7 was down. I think he was alive. "Crow 7, are you there? Crow 7!" He's down for today, he always had a way to survive anything.

I activate my SAAM, putting the Thunderbolt in my sights.

"Fox One! Fox One!"

The missile hits the thunderbolt in the right engine. Amazingly, it still flys, but it shook heavily.

"How did it survive that?"

I then get below another enemy, and fire my machine gun, killing the pilot, and destroying the plane's fuel tanks, resulting in a explosion from the plane.

"Get a evac for Crow 7!"

A fellow squadron mate targets the A-10, but only hits flare.

I jump awake, gasping for air. I feel my forehead to find gauze wrapped around my head.  Looking across the row, the other guy is sleeping. Other than him, the room sits empty. Bored, I just lay back down and count the lights in the ceiling.

"Crow 10 and 11, intrecept the base."

"Yes, sir."

[timeskip]

A boom is heard through the base as a missile tears open the roof with a 'boom.'

More explosions happen in base as the airbase struggles to survive. Finally, Crow 10 and 11 leave the area, leaving the airbase in ruins.

I follow the fighters, hearing their comms.
I switch to my XLAAs, and fire all four at both of them, obliterating then both.
