Author Topic: Russians find trillions of diamonds under crater in Siberia  (Read 3007 times)

Diamonds themselves aren't that rare. Or expensive. In fact, diamonds aren't that hard to find in the right places. The reason they're so expensive is because diamond companies basically bottleneck and lock the supply and demand so only a few are really sold.

What are they going to do with them?

too bad they filled them with syrup.

The only change here is that we can do more science, cheaper, with these diamonds.

because we all know how densely populated Russia is  :cookieMonster:

Its within the top 10 countries of the world as far as population goes. So uh, pretty dense in the main centers, yeah.

I'm no expert on war tactics, just a thought.
well, when you factor in the cost of financing a war with Russia alone, ie feeding, transporting, supplying troops alone, let alone paying the soldiers, it would probably be cheaper in both the long and short run to just get them diplomatically.

I know

but other than that there's a lot of areas with very little population right?

ok since there's some dumb minecraft players who don't understand how diamonds work YOU DO NOT COMBINE DIAMONDS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE

FROM WIKIPEDIA

The shock pressures from the impact instantaneously transformed graphite in the ground into diamonds within a 13.6 km (8.5 mi) radius of the impact point. Diamonds are usually 0.5 to 2 mm (0.020 to 0.079 in) in diameter; a few exceptional specimens are 10 mm (0.39 in) in size.
