Author Topic: BLB editor  (Read 1509 times)

I'm trying to get into brick-making but I can't get my bricks ingame without the BLB-Editor.
I can't find the link anywhere, could someone upload it?

Actually the above link will probably try to spam you with ads, this one seems to have the same stuff but with less annoying stuff:

and maybe a gist will be relevant, idk what a gist is

Great!

What do I do with this.

have fun

Are you sure this is not a broken version?
I can't seem to import and loading any BLB does nothing.
Am I doing something wrong, if so, could someone write a small how-to?

Nvm the above post, I just got a default arc brick in, I'm going to try and make a custom 1x2 brick, any tips or tutorials around?

So I've been fiddling around with the blb editor, and I can't seem to get any model in game.
They just appear as invisible, there's no collision box either, it's basically completely nothing.
Though I can see it in the blb editor viewer.

I know the textures are stuff but i'm just trying to get to the basics.

I don't even know if the model is scaled right, It's really bothering me there's absolutely no tutorial or how-to on making bricks.

I know how that feels.
I wish someone would make one.

Allright, i've been quite busy with trying to figure stuff out this evening.
Here is the result: http://i.imgur.com/flZOf.jpg

- It's not aligned to the brick grid
- It has the collision of a 1x1x1 brick
- Whenever I change something in the .blb file, like change 1 1 1 to 1 2 3, it doesn't show up in the game

I'm going to try and continue tomorrow.

If anyone else feels like giving it a try, here is the MS3D file & .blb file: http://www.mediafire.com/?34096kromwqot0e

To test it out, just replace a .blb in some other brick add-on.

It's just like amother modelling program, except you use some kind of BLB coding n stuff.

Jake, something that you can do to help yourself is look in other files of bricks that are the same dimensions as the brick you are trying to make.  Then, copy those values over to your brick file, and fiddle with that.
