Yeah, I think it is. I've met quite a few Asians who feel bad they can't live up to the standard society holds them to. I've even sat with one when his friend asked him for help with his homework, and when he said he was having problems too the guy said something like 'so wait I thought all Asians were smart????'. That's insulting.

Regardless, I hold no pity for Alyx and I can't see how you would remain friends with him. Being a tribal is completely unforgivable. It's the same kind of gutter thinking that screws innocent people over to this day.

I wasn't saying it was excusable or good, I was saying that it he doesn't have malice. And I don't really think it's fair to judge people by one aspect of their personality, even if it is atrocious, if the rest of them is OK.
