what purpose does that wrench serve anywho?

Check Upstairs
You leave the basement and arrive at a rather cliche, secret, bookshelf door. You can make out a conversation beyond the wooden wall.

???: "Okay what seems to be the problem fellow citizen?

Citizen?: "I've been up all night for the past week because of the strange noises emanating from Dr. Agony's house. I suspect that he is no normal scientist."

Detective?: "Hmm, I'll look into that further. As for now the more pressing concern is Dr. Agony's recent tax evasion. No surprise here considering his greedy ol' bottom always looks for antiques for his house."

Citizen?: "Yeah, the guy is such an oddity. This has led me to believe he has some sort of dragon special interest. He's always rambling on about how he'll get a dragon one day."

Detective?: "Heh, what a fool, everyone knows that dragons are forbidden on this island. Ever since Eroc Thgink came to power, he's been keeping the whole kingdom safe from such monsters."

Citizen?: "Indeed, I can't believe one would associate themselves with such barbaric creatures. I can't imagine that we once lived with them roaming our streets."

Detective: "Well it's getting really dark out, we'll continue this search tomorrow morning. We better leave before it starts raining hard."

You guess you can use it as a weapon, but it's also handy for undoing bolts.

go into the room once they leave

KILL THEM ALL FOR INSULTING YOUR NOBLE SPECIES.

who's to say you're a real dragon?

Your rather passive attitude towards everything lets their babbling slide, for now. Usually, your master doesn't allow you to leave the basement, but since he's not here you guess He'll never know. In the foyer are a bunch of things. You take notice of your master's cloak and the golden figurine above the fireplace. Outside you hear the rumbling of thunder. The door to your left leads to your master's private quarters, which is probably locked and you do not have any intention of sneaking in there.

Look at the Shiney Gold thing and the painting above it

Put on cloak so you won't look like dragon and eshplore further.

You examine the finely crafted dragon figurine. It appears to be made out of solid gold, you guess your master really does put a lot of effort with his liking to dragons. You have no trouble trying to contain your urge to hoard it. As for the painting, it is a painting taken from the skies of New Camelot. Dalore is located behind Mt. Hiltlean. Since the town is above the clouds and under a mountain, you get more than the usual rainfall. And with storms comes lightning for your master's experiments.

Put on cloak so you won't look like dragon and eshplore further.

You don your master's robe, being very careful not to puncture holes into it with your horns. You manage to conceal your tail, but your snout sticks out like a sore thumb. People would have to be stupid to fall for this getup.

do you have a voice or anything
can you actually make any sort of sound

Do you have any sort of breath attack, and are your claws/horn sharp enough to do damage?

replace cloak, go back into hidden area, close hidden door. we don't want to be caught if the detective comes back.

You don't really speak aloud much, but when you do it's often an animal sounds. You tried breathing fire once, it didn't go very well and you just ended up being exhausted. As for your claws, you guess they are sharp enough to gouge someone with. You never really thought about having to fight.

You'd only end up being behind the door again, perhaps there is an outside switch that master uses to gain access to the basement.

which is why you should go back inside it. you don't know what switch it is and you don't want to be stuck out here.

behind the painting!
of course!
