llaberif is Fireball Backwards.

WAY 2 GO CAMERA

a Lightning spell is probably Gninthgil, and a Freeze spell is probably Ezeerf

Not only do they sound like the gibberish that most books come up with, it also saves time for me as I do not have to come up with a complicated formula for magic. Also, rule of backwards names in this universe.

Right, because you're so original, Sir Nenem. Using backwards names is far easier than slamming a hand down onto your keyboard and then making the ensuing gibberish make phonetic sense.

Shhh.

Let me be a hypocrite just this once :C

Because he should waste tons of time thinking up a nonsensical "amarth faeg!" or something along the lines.

Not hard to think up a name for anything.

a. your master would take anything magic that you buy. Unless he won't because doing so is handicapped and you are deadly enough without it.
b.no one can see who you are. you have a robe on.
c.im pretty sure if there happens to be an armory in town people wouldn't find it suspicious that you have a weapon.
what i meant was b would end up a result of c.
sure there's an armory, but seeing some large hooded "man" walking around with a sword at his waist would be pretty suspicious to me.

Except I want to at least have some meaning as to why a particular word came to be. (How did Asuglaiz become the magic word for producing a boulder, for example?)

Just use Hebrew names.
Each name there has got a meaning behind them.
Isaac, for instance, means laughter.

Lol, those are just spell names for what they are.

Hebrew is long, long dead in this world.

Go find a place where no one else is, and practice Fireball.
