draw it out

ie what we know:
S M T W T F S
                  1
2 3 4

now take it and draw out the rest of the month until you reach the last monday and remember that it's a 30 day month
there's probably some other easier way to do it but that's the visual way
I dont know if that would count as showing your work, which for some reason we have to do. Theres no mathematical way to do it aside from drawing a calendar?

well it's showing how you got the answer
i don't really understand how you would go about doing it algebraically. it's just a word problem that's easier to draw a diagram for.
what class is this (kind of math) anyways?

Its an SAT prep class that was optional and I took it to help me out because Im not as good in algebra as I am in geometry, but so far we've learned nothing.

..apparently lol

but anyways yeah on an SAT except for the grid-ins they dont care how you get the answer and usually these kind of logic problems are on multiple choice
and if your teacher says it's wrong you should ask him how the forget else to do it because i'm legitimately curious
