Author Topic: When will Badspot make shaders work on laptops with Intel and Nvidia?  (Read 1486 times)

I really want to run shaders on my laptop. I have my other PC which I can run fine but my laptop is shader-less. I'm wondering if v22 will have this fixed.

and Nvidia?
I thought Nvidia cards worked fine

Nvidia cards work fine.  Intel is the problem.

Idk is it the combination of Intel and Nvidia or just Intel?

My laptop has a dedicated Nvidia card along with an integrated intel GPU.

Still doesn't work. But my other PC has a intel core 2 quad and a Nvidia GPU and it works.

Why would a laptop have two GPUs?
Are you sure your not confusing one with the chipset?

The problem isn't specific to just intel, but any card that doesn't support the right features. It's just the issue is that all (that I know of) GPUs produced without these features are intel.

Integrated GPU (Motherboard chipset)
Dedicated Nvidia GPU (Real GPU)

GT525M
It should support Shaders.

Why do people keep saying Baddy needs to fix it will nVidia, my nVidia card is awesome. It works perfectly fine and I love it.

I don't think it's relevant.

I don't think it's relevant.

well intel cards are so weak i doubt that it could handle much more than minimum.

Why can't people ever learn that intel cards literally just don't have the hardware to even run the shaders in the first place.

i7-2670qm
8GB of DDR3
GT 525M

Shader 5.0
DirectX 11
1.5GB VRAM - up to 4GB VRAM
4.3 GLSL

It should be enough to run on medium or low. It's a Nvidia card. Not a intel one.

I don't see the loving problem. My laptop is capable of handling the game with shaders.

I think I forgeted up what I wanted to actually say. I run Blockland with my dedicated GPU (GT 525M) and not my integrated GPU but shaders are disabled. They won't be enabled.

Maybe when/if blockland gets put on steam.

Uhh because its trying to run blockland on your integrated and not your dedicated. People have said this before about combo cards, go forget around in your settings and see if you can force blockland to use the nvidia card

Hm. Maybe I can change my Nvidia settings to run the Launcher itself on my Dedicated GPU then same with the game itself.
