Well if you're developing something as effort and time consuming as a server mod/script, obviously you care about the server. Why not be an admin? it gives you a rank that causes other players to be more respectful towards you, and hey; you can help out the server that you obviously care for while having another sense of accomplishment.

Even if someone is making something such as a script, They can't be trusted to the full extent as you never know what they might do once they get the power, They could even place something in the script to get that power, Its better to try to maintain a friendship with them to make sure they aren't abusive with there power and priviliges and then give them administrative power.

I don't get it, was that considered dismissive posting, because it isn't actually aimed at this topic, or the topic on hand.  It was completely irrelevant and cannot be dismissive of the topic.

I think he was more pointing to, if someone invests the time and thought into making a script exclusively for THAT server, he can be trusted. 
Also to the whole 'backdoor' thing you were suggesting, eagle517 and I were partner scripting it, so he would have caught any backdoor's if I had implemented any.
