Well if time travel were ever a success no. Because whoever traveled back in time from the future to the past met or caused an event that prevented us from knowing about him. In which case, whatever you do in the past, lead up to the future. Making time intangible, therefore making time travel impossible.

No no no no. It's not possible for this to happen until a time machine is actually invented. Then we would be aware that time travelers were with us before when we didn't have a time machine but this only happens after we are aware time travel is possible so it would not be possible to know time travelers are actually real until time machine is invented.

What if someone invented timetravel long ago, then timetravelled back in time and killed himself because he figured out it was a very bad idea, and went back and forward in time, removing any means of timetravel.
