Author Topic: I just took my ACT and scored a 25  (Read 2366 times)

I took a pre ACT Sophomore year (last year) and got a 28

Pretty sure I officially take it this year as a Junior now, hoping to get at least a 30 or over.

damn thats pretty good

I for some reason saw this as SAT, and was like "WTF IS WRONG WITH - Oh."

Do you take ANY state achievement tests?
Oh, I never realized these things actually tested achievement.

damn thats pretty good

Hell quite honestly what you got is really good too!

The majority of my peers got 17-22. Either all of them really didn't take it seriously or they're just dumb.

Did you do poorly on them?

What? Where?
The part where I mentioned how they "measured" achievement. You ignored that part.

Oh I thought it was obvious enough what That meant so I figured you meant the same thing when you used achievement. I dont know if that makes sense - Basically I thought you were saying something along the lines of "I didnt know they measured intelligence" trying to take credit away from the tests. Oops!

That was exactly what I was getting out. I shouldn't speak for the ACT because I've never taken it nor reviewed its methods, but the SAT is a joke.

Im used to SAT scoring, what is the low/average/high for the ACT?
Its an alternative to the ACT administered by a different group, though Im not sure exactly. Its like their competitor.

SAT/ACT's are tests for schools in different parts of the country generally. Most schools on the east coast look at your ACT score, most on the west coast look at your SAT score. If you're going to more difficult schools like purdue, notre dame, and the ivy leagues, then they combine your ACT, SAT and GPA to create a number that (if i remember correctly) is between 0-60 and it basically states whether or not you're good enough. 0 being lowest 60 being highest, of course.

also, kind of irrelevant but I got a 31 on my ACT, never even bothered taking the SAT.
