You might want to get a better everything before you think about the RAM.

The best part is that the minimum suggested RAM for 64 bit computers is 4GB. this now explains why all my programs referred the computer as 32 bit.

Because they are 32 bit programs so they are allocated to the x86 directory to keep things organized. Not because you didn't have enough ram lol.

woah derp forgot about that.

Why would you want a ssd as your primary drive?

Because SSDs are fast.

Because SSDs are fast.
But your computer is not. Honestly you'd be multitudes better off upgrading the entire machine before worrying about fancy things like SSDs

The moment I felt your pain is when I saw Toshiba in the corner.....

Until I crashed it.

Pretty much all of them are. You can't change them ever, unless you actually built a laptop yourself.

And I don't know if anyone's ever built a custom laptop. Or if it's possible.

This would also probably rule out overclocking, which would probably be dumb in the first place.

I meant deal with the machine you have now and start saving money if you want anything that will put out performance wise. Of course you may be content with your laptop as is, I just don't see it being worth it throwing more RAM and an SSD in that thing.

Yeah, but he means "get a new computer".

Why buy it when you can just torrent it? That's what I did and I have 12gb of RAM now.
