I didn't mention console, though.

First It'l ask for a password. Then after the password is entered, an Ip check is engaged, and if the client matches authorized IP addresses, then they are allowed to enter and use the FTP service. Otherwise, an email is dispatched to me, Glassy, (and his mom?), Informing them of this attempted intrusion, and what action to take (ignore, quarentine [which blocks that ip from even going to the page], or allow, which whitelists their ip.)

What if someone needs to remotely manage their server and their locked out because of a no IP match.

2 errors in this.

1) IP's say nothing about a persons identity. They change daily, unless it's a static.
2) FTP has nothing to do with PHP, or any script. Unless you mean a PHP File Manager, at which point, good luck.

Yes. But read his post.

We're on two different pages here.

I'm not talking about the client's ftp, that could be set up differently.
I was talking about the admin ftp.

I thought we were gonna use jeepserver's hosting thing for this.

Glass, Lugnut told me about how you asked for his help on this.

Good luck getting anything close to Kalphiter's service from ground zero.

His goal isn't to compete with Kalphiter in any way.
This is supposed to be a small hosting service.

I do not want to get big. I just wanted to do a small service.

Any Blockland server host is in direct competition with Kalphiter.

Someone once made something like this.
