Apperently i have ransomware on my computer

On my way home and my dad calls me and tells me that my brother tried to browse the internet and was blocked by some fbi thing demanding 200 dollars to get our internet access back.
Hopefully it only infected his account.
Scary....

I'm usually very cautious about what I download, but I'm not sure about my brother.

In that case, Im guessing its winlock, Which is very difficult to get off, Most of the time people get it from going to research sites.

One does not simply delete ransom ware.

Also it is possible to remove it but it can take some time.

In that case if it actually is in russian it could be winlock, Which basically locks you out of all of your accounts and requires lots of work to remove possibly.
