me and my friend worked on a very comical comic last year and we decided to reuse those characters + some new ones to create an actually serious story
BACKSTORY:
O' CANADA
the three gods, Chuck Norris, Satan, and Paul kept balance in the universe. Chuck norris, wanting more power, warped space and time until a small part of the universe collapsed on itself (dubbed "the Universal Collapse"), merging multiple dimensions and letting them flood to earth. The 7 Universal Rifts opened in; Ontario Canada, London UK, Tokyo Japan, Chicago USA, Moscow Russia, Canberra Australia, and Brasila Brazil. The story takes place in Ontario canada, where 5 friends (plus their personal assistant and the mechanically inclined catman, Makatnix) work to Close the Rift. Stripes, the outgoing leader, Lionfez, the odd pearman, Triangles, the serious, Periwinkle, son of Paul, and Sparkles, Master of Arms. They end up closing the rift in the end, taking two months to do so, in which they travel to hell and back, Literally.

It's been six years since the Universal Collapse, caused by the holy lord Chuck, where portals opened between the parallel worlds that connect us all, six years since i've seen any of the other members of the original 5. Lionfez now owns one of the worlds most prestigious fruit companies in the world, making him rich even in the times like these, Sprinkles became one of the few survivors to be accepted into the testing programs, Periwinkle now works with his dad, the god Paul, to clean up the debris left over from the Universal Collapse, Makatnix is now CEO of Makatnindustries, and Triangles, well, nobody knows where triangle went. Vanished of the face of the earth without a trace. The old base was abandoned and we all went our separate ways after the Universal Collapse. Not much has happened in the “Real World” as of late, China and Russia finally got down and dirty and started WW3, the US annexed Canada to create the USCA, and millions of little things terrorize humans every day left over from the Collapse. That’s where the mercenaries come in. Being in the USCA though, where its illegal, makes mercenary work harder than ever before, although the USCA now has little to no influence in the 3 major cities, New San Francisco, York, and Chicago. The only god that rules over the land is Paul, and he’s not doing a very good job at it. Mercenaries, being who they are, generally don’t have families, only companions. With the Blisterous Company Peytonia Enterprises coming out of the rubble into the new world, the only thing mercenaries can do at times like these is, run faster.
CONCEPTS:
Soul Snapping
A Patient basicly takes over someone’s soul, being able to search their thoughts, memories, experiences, abilities, and all together person using either natural brain waves or implanted devices in their brain. Notable Sign of a Soul Snapper is a Red, Blue, or Green eye, glowing while using their soul snapping ability, could also invade dreams using this method. (Very rare to see a Natural OR implanted Soul Snapper at all)

Billionaire influenced directly from Satan himself, plotting to start another Universal Collapse, but this time only linking the Earth to Hell. Genetically Altered his sons to be Soul snappers, with the odd side effect of turning them into gingers. One of the first “Natural” Soul Snappers in existence.

Khris - Peytonia’s right hand man, in charge of tracking down natural resources of necrogen, sign of Gluttony.
Born into a poor family, him and his dad had to work for Mr. Peytonia before the Universal Collapse. Having the Keen eye for Natural Resources of Necrogen, Khris was soon appointed high in the company rankings, effectively becoming peytonia’s right hand man. in 2003, when Secret was born, he was put to the task of taking care of her. His keen eye at seeing for Necrogen gave him the Sign of Gluttony, taking more Necrogen than he needs.
OMG SECRET CHARACTER (Soul Snapper, Unknown Weapon)
Stripes only sees this character in his sleep, seecret stuff going on here (spoiler alert its a girl) Sin Sign of Lust
secret was born, well, a secret. after Mrs. Peytonia died from sickness, Mr. Peytonia fell in love with a death row patient. He payed the fines and got her out of Death Row, They then proceeded to have a child, as you can guess, secretly.
Secret was taken care by Khristofer, Holder of the Sin Gluttony. Secret, wanting any sign of the outside world, escaped from Khristofer, but not before having her memory modified so she never remembered Him or Peytonia. Her Thirst for People (not literally OK) got her the sign of Lust. She joined the mercenaries stationed in Chicago, USCA, Shares a Rift Flux with Stripes that lets them communicate over dreams, neither of them knowing each other.

S-PROCEDURE-L
the original project observing soul snappers. the 506th project in the "Goverment Projects" dating all the way back to roman times. various people were included in this test, Secret, Ryan, James, Sparkles, Stripes, and Crackers. Many other Patients went either insane or died. Everyone except Stripes has had their memory altered so they don’t remember any of the tests, only the implant and how to use them.
Technus is a light, white material (it can change colors based on personalities), melting point is the highest on earth, smooth texture in solid form, perfect for bullets or weapons as it will never chip, its liquid form is known as “Necrogen” That can be found naturally in the ground (This is what Peytonia is trying to get) first resource of technus found by makanix.
