The area i am going was once a first world war zepline dock thing, so i might find some interesting bits of history, there is also roman road. oh, and also there was an old railway running through it.

I shall post my findings directly here,
in the meantime, discuss anything metal detecting related.

I have my own metal detector.  I brought it to the beach and found an old WWII bullet shell a couple feet under the sand.  It was half exploded, meaning it had been fired.  It was pretty cool.

i found a british .303 cartridge (from a lee enfield pressumably) a few years ago at the side of the road once.
and i could find more today.
