blockland forums needs a rep system

please blocklandforums we need a rep system :C

so you could upvote or downvote posts if their posts are good, but you could also downvote if they are bad.

but we all know blockland is filled with grudgeholding richardmondays (myself included) that would love nothing more than to downvote every single post of a user

so

1 upvote = 1 upvote

10 downvotes = -1 upvotes

your total rep could be viewed in your profile, with a seprate page dedicated to showing everyones rep

rep is a useless system and it's not needed. no one is posting downloads, so looking at the rep only shows how much they have to brag about

being rewarded for doing something good and not being rewarded for doing something bad sends different chemicals in the brain to make you happier or sadder so you do more good or bad things

keep doing good things = you're now a functioning member of society
keep doing bad things = well we know who to ban

People would express their sucking-up to all the "famous" members by upvoting every single post they make. Same thing would happen with people who already failed long ago at building up reputation like setro2, but with downvotes.

And an upvote system would probably not fix it, as people would upvote the post and make their own that says /support or UPVOTED!! or something.

I don't like the concept.
We'll only invite idiots who demand to have their posts upvoted.
And we already get enough topics of "Why does everyone hate me?". I don't want to see "How come I'm always downvoted?".

There is no benefit to anyone of us here as to having high-voted posts. It doesn't matter if it makes you "feel good".
If this were to be implemented, it could easily be like opening a can of worms. Next thing you know people are asking for Member Ranks, Forum Achievements and visible signatures to display them in.
