So here's the story, my mother stayed out late, and when she got home. My dad was so mad he hit her. so my mom ran into my room, locked the door and called the police. The police just came in and dragged both of them out.

Sounds like your typical white trash family domestic issue. Most likely the both slapped eachother and they are both got arrested. Kind of richard move for the cops to just leave you there though, but hey they are cops, not baby sitters.
