He stood in one spot, twitching subtly at a stationary bot. The background is totally boring and inaccurate, even the sky is ridiculously wrong.

What I'm asking is, why even bother posting twelve seconds of essentially nothing with the sound of a scene that isn't remotely exciting by itself?

Well no, but he has a point.
If you're going to recreate a scene, especially if it's a short one like that, you should at least try and make it accurate. All you really did is spawn a bot, and then stand next to it and turn. The character in that scene was more animated, and the background in yours wasn't even very accurate either.
