Both my parents combined make 2k a month (on a good month) and we're struggling pretty bad.

Now that I think of it, your dad probably gets 4k a month, or even two months, not a semester. You probably got that wrong, I mean 8k a year? I don't think a family can live off that. Well then you might also be getting money from somewhere other than your parents, I guess it's possible

My parents make a good amount but after all the bills little to nothing actually gets banked. I really can't give out a number but if they didn't have all the debt from the family business we do live pretty good lives, though.
