I get the sense that you either have never played with Legos that much as a kid or when you did, you were neater with them.
Most people here remember their old ways of building with Lego involving no organization or pattern; rather mismatching bricks and colors here and there because organization did not matter in their own freelance, unless they really cared.
It may be rainbow colors, but it
is how most people remember it.
