Much of my English accent has diluted over the years. I don't have a strong accent one way or the other. I speak in a more monotone New Zealandly way these days. Though I lack the New Zealand pronunciation of certain letters, like how some NZers say the letter E as I (making pin sound like pen, ten sound like tin).
I thought he was from new Zealand.
Its a common misconception for understandable reasons.
