If you ran it, you're infected. And you won't be able to remove it that simple. Because it's fud.

why are so many people clicking links from random strangers

I tryed to open it with alzip.
It was a zip file.

Aslong as you don't run the exe file, and the zip file itself may even infect you. Goto %appdata% and look for something weird there. If you find something that isn't normal. You're probably infected and by deleting that it wont help.

You would only receive it from people on your contacts list.

Zip files don't infext you with viruses...
Also, a ton of stuff puts stuff in AppData, not just viruses.

I know, but you can look after files that shouldn't be there. Like NOTVIRUS.exe or folders. Also try this.

Just asking, will exiting/quit Skype help not have the virus infect you?

if you get a message from one of your contacts saying something along the lines of "haha, this is your new Skype avatar?: goo.gl/A38B?name=(skypename)", then that person was infected and the link contains the virus. Do not click on the link.

good thing I use it on an iOS device ;_;

Good thing I don't click on Skype links.

Yeah, I know but, will exiting/quitting Skype help YOU not to send those messages? Or is it just like those Steam scam bots when it's not a actual person?
