Author Topic: New Skype Virus  (Read 2283 times)

good thing I use it on an iOS device ;_;

all devices get viruses no matter what it is

Yeah, I know but, will exiting/quitting Skype help YOU not to send those messages? Or is it just like those Steam scam bots when it's not a actual person?
If you have the virus, then close down Skype, as in sign out and all that, and it shouldn't send the messages.
I also heard changing your password might work, but removing it altogether is ideal.

Yes but you can't download ANYTHING except from appmarket on IOS. So nope.

Yup, and then probably uses your computer to do illegal activities over the internet.

How would it work if the person can see everything you do, aka RAT. So he can basically just get your new changed password.

It isn't a RAT, it's a worm that spreads over open Internet connections and Skype.

I know you are trying to be helpful, but:
It's obviously not a virus; it's automatic spam message. And what do you mean illegal activities?

ok, so a Automatic spam message sends you a link to an exe which after you install / double click that you're infected and starts to spam too on skype. And then after some time all your accounts is hacked, ok tyvm, totally not virus. ok ok

my friend almost gave me the virus but he warned me just in time

yes ive got alot of messages from contacts with "is this your new profile pic?" and people really fall for it
