Author Topic: My C: memory just filled up in the last day (Read "Could this help?")  (Read 1207 times)

I remembering having at least 85 gb of memory left a couple days ago. I didn't download anything. (By the way, my hard drive is 283 gb of space)

Yesterday, after starting it up, it went through a disk check, then I got on today and the memory was like this.

Things to know
1. I want to know what took up space in the past day.
2. Telling me to "Delete useless files" will not help. What if this "thing" takes another dump in my hard drive? I'm not deleting important files.
3. I do not care what your space is. I'm looking for help.

Could this help?
I've noticed that if you start up a computer with a USB drive, it sometimes asks if you want to scan/check it (On boot up). After it completes, (ANd my computer starts up) usually there is a BOOT.txt file or something once you open the content of the usb drive. The hard drive check took a long time and during the process, the screen was spamming things. Maybe the BOOT.txt is so huge, it could be 50 gb?

Is it a glitch?

Fraps takes up about 350GB on my C: drive. :(

I'm looking for help. I don't want to know how much space you guys have.

I still have windows.old

And it does it with me too, just delete unwanted files

I'm looking for help. I don't want to know how much space you guys have.

Delete research maybe?

Windows Backup can take up dozens of GB space if it's enabled.
I went to a friends home after he was whining to me he had no free space and he had no idea what to remove, I removed the backup file and somehow 80 GB magically freed.

I'm looking for the source that took a crap in my hardrive. I already did everything (Excluding CC) and I don't think CC will help.
