Should I get a drawing tablet?

Ive been getting into drawing lately, and im just curious if getting a tablet for drawing on the computer would do me any good.
I already have photoshop, so I dont have to worry about that.

Also if I get a tablet, what would be the best size/whatever the forget for me to get?

Honestly, you don't need a big one. They really are great, easy to use and reflectively cheap.

I was looking at both the Intuos and the Bamboo, and ill probably be getting the intuos

if you've got the money to throw away, sure

if not, save your money and just use paper until you're practiced enough to really make use of one (and if this turns out to just be a stage you're going through then you won't have wasted money)

wacom is almost always the way to go with graphics tablets, but they're fairly expensive

I was lucky enough to receive an intuos4 medium as a gift, but I'm going into the art field and already had tablet experience at the time so for someone who's just starting with digital drawing you'll probably want to go with the simplest one, a bamboo splash

you'll have to sink $80 into it though so it's up to you, it all depends if you're either A) interested in art as a career or hobby or B) willing to spend the money regardless

below is the first tablet & pen I owned, one of the original bamboos, I got it when I was about 14/15 and even though it's significantly smaller than the splash (seriously I can cover ~95% of the active area with one hand) it served me very well for the years up to the point I graduated to my intuos and got me into drawing digitally

I've been using the Bamboo Capture for just under a year now, and even though it's nothing too complicated, it works fine.
