Author Topic: Opinion: 2005 Audi A8  (Read 1000 times)

So, I've done a few of these topics. I'm in the midst of car hunting. I pretty much found a car, however. I was considering the A4, but the A8 seemed to be a better deal:

Price: ~20,000

the shifter needs to be on the steering column, like the Mercedes-Benz E350

It has 2 shifters. One behind the steering wheel (hard to see in this pic), and 1 on the console.

It's a fairly solid car.
Price seems a tad high for what I'm used to seeing on those older cars, but that's pretty much it.

A8 is a luxury car
my dads was ~85,000 brand new but he didnt get it brand new

The 1 & 2 / 5 ratings make little sense to me.

Get a crown victorian and make it like a cop car....  :cookieMonster:

just remember if you buy it and something breaks on it it'll be twice as much to fix because it's a luxury saloon

You are getting a loving S-Class competitor. Holy stuff man buy it.

When you said A4 and A8, I thought you were talking about processors.

I considered buying a retired Police Interceptor, as people would drive by the book near you. However, once they realize you're not a cop, you could create some serious road rage.

Audis are known to last for a while before anything goes wrong. However, yes. In the event that something did break, it would be pricey. I would have about 1,000 set aside as an Emergency Fund.

I more than likely will end up deciding on this. I'll be going for this anytime between January or February. So a few months for me to decide and get that emergency fund saved up :p
