So what do they need? Obviously all schools need textbooks which are 60$ for one textbook. And you probably have computers which are 600$ for one decent computer.

All mutations are negative, unless through super-advanced bio-engineering, but we all know that that's far into the future.

Some mutations can be good. For instance, people in my family have been born with 6 toes on both feet (self included).
