Turns out the welcoming party decided to pack heat, and a squad of our soldiers died in a massive firefight, as well as a single crusader tank. We reduced the insurgent town to rubble, killing the ~200 insurgents and ~500 civilians there as accidental collateral damage. Everything is fine and dandy what are you talking about?

In the back areas of the country (USC), our armies (2 conscript and 1 veteran, with 1 armored, all division strength) start to push out onto insurgent and government territory but stop about 1/8 of the distance to the coast. They then concentrate on allying or destroying every insurgent group in that area.
