Riots formed in Southern Avalonia as the local soda manufacturing company refused to deal with union labor. Avalonia doesn't interfere with economics, but when the protest turned violent, police were called in to suppress the violence. Several were injured, none dead, and the picket lines held for another week before the company relocated its production to another plant and the entire town had an economic collapse. Five months later, the plant reopened after the union disbanded. Union leaders are meeting to strengthen their grip on labor because of these events.
