Author Topic: So my family got a Mac Pro. (Read 1465 times)

It "Wasn't working" so my Dads boss decided to give it to us. So later down the line once I'm done messing with it I'm going to use it as a media PC for my parents TV room.

Here's some specs:

Processor Name:	Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed:	2.8 GHz
Memory:	18 GB (Sticks: 2x1gb 4x2gb 2x4gb) (Heheh)
ATI Radeon HD 5870 (VRAM 1gb)
750GB Hardrive (Plus I think there was a 2TB drive as well but it needs to be reseated)

Needless to say it's a pretty awesome free computer.

I'd never buy a Mac any of their other products simply because they are over priced but if I'm going to get them for free then I'll take them.

I don't want to give money to a company that wildly overprices their gear.

Some of it is after market to my knowledge the computer costed $2,000 when it came out but apparently the computer costs around $1,000 now. (According to some website)
