what even is a .flac
not trying to be ride just wondering

.flac is lossless audio and generally a polar opposite to .mp3

heard russian people say you can't so i'm wondering

Use Winamp. It plays every format you can think of.

FLAC is a form of "compression" so to speak for music. It's lossless, but you need a FLAC converter to turn it into a WAV or whatever.

As far as I know anyway.

Not without an addon, which I suggest you find. I don't remember the name, but unless you are okay with listening to all your music through VLC, you'll need one. Just google play .flacs on iTunes or something.

Also +1 internet for using .flacs, lossless is the best.

iTunes is useless unless you have an iPod or iPhone, so just use winamp

VLC! Or spotify if you don't like to have local music. I'll also use the Amazon Cloud player occasionally when I want to listen to some of the songs I purchased/uploaded. They all  have a VBR which is great if you don't want to waste storage on .flacs.

Or just use
winamp
which plays .flac natively. It's a better media player than iTunes in general.

VLC!

VLC is a codec bloated piece of stuff. If you're using it as a music player, you're doing it wrong.

Exaggeration. You really shouldn't be using VLC for music, get something with an interface designed for music, like Winamp or Foobar.
