You're not getting the point. Eating food and chewing gum do not require the same amount of chewing (usually, anyway.) Chewing gum can go on for lengthy periods, usually up to a few hours or more nonstop. Eating food tends to last for about fifteen minutes, depending on the portion of food you have. Constantly chewing without end can hurt your jaw muscles.

The more you use them the better it is because they get stronger. Same applies for your jaw. Stop hurting my brain.
