Author Topic: What if Ephialtes shut down RTB.  (Read 7983 times)

Read the title.
If he did shut it down then what we will do?

Return to port
Blockland cloud

A new one would probably be made, not nearly as good though.

Be a massive bitch for the modding community since lots of people use it as their main way to distribute add-ons.

Someone would make a new service.

Would be awful for the community if he did, I doubt anyone else in the community could match RTB's quality.

If or when Steam greenlights Blockland and the population of Blockland users increase we might see more RTB-like mods with decent quality.

Come to think of it, I wonder what will happen to RTB once Blockland is released on Steam Greenlight.

Lol.
Probably not considering how long Ephi has worked on it.
Then again there are some good modders out there, but I doubt they'd get very close to RTB's quality.

"The Plot Thickens!"

Blockland cloud?

Every time I download Blockland Cloud it says the .zip is corrupt.

What a joke
Well it seems like a good enough replacement, so why not?

Considering what RTB is, I don't think it'd be particularly hard for a group of people to spend a few months making something competitive. This isn't a matured company, its just a mod that isn't really THAT stunning.

RTB gives players a convenient messaging system, some extra management tools, and a server to host mods on with a front-end to download them in-game.

Don't get me wrong, making something like RTB won't happen over night and Ephi did a good job. But in concept its not that impressive.
