I've never run into any issues of this magnitude, but I can say for sure that you have to take everything one step at a time and just develop patterns. Commit yourself; you don't want to end up with nothing.

I wasn't exactly in the perfect state of mind, I was stressed 24/7 and had a lot of stuff I had to deal with, so I just took a break from everything to clear my mind.

I wouldn't consider it "addiction" but more-so a reliance on it, not that I was physically incapable on going an allotted time without it, but that I would much rather have it.
