Windows Explorer opening all .dll files -- 50+ "Explorer.exe" processes

Okay, so I went to select the default program to open .dll files, and I misclicked "notepad" or "windows explorer", somehow. So now my cursor is flickering and twitching and my process list has 50-100 "explorer.exe"s. What do I do?

i had this problem once when i opened a .rar with IE or something
i thought it was a virus and i was like seven so i cried

just restart your computer
