Author Topic: Norton isn't working  (Read 1123 times)

Help guys my super awesome virus scanner norton died on me on this and the previous boot and it's just not starting. It doesn't do anything when I double-click the icon, it shows up in that little items bar on the right but I can't right or left click it. Reboot doesn't work.

Please don't give me any of that 'norton sucks' crap because I'm not allowed to change it.
Thanks in advance :|

this computer uses norton.
i think there's a website to help with norton problems.
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=home&locale

Solution to Norton related problems, that works in all cases.

1) Uninstall Norton
2) Install Security Essentials.
All problems solved.

I'm not allowed to change it.

Also that help site is pretty vague :s

norton sucks
pupe doge tell u to go 2 bed army

cancel wtf its 20:30 are you drunk already or just handicapped again

I'm not allowed to change it.
Do some research, convince the individuals disallowing your ability to change it that switching to security essentials will benefit security on your computer, give you freedom to perform various actions without virus-protection from just stopping you without an alert, and you will no longer have to pay for crappy service.

I did that but our subscription still runs for 200 days and we're not wasting that money :s

Norton told me that I had 5 Trojans on my computer.
A computer couldn't possible be running if it had that many

bothn

When I had norton, it tried to quarunteen my source files because it could not verify a publisher. (AKA, Files I created on another computer.)

That was the final straw in Norton's life.

Norton lies about stuff.

They put viruses on your computer, and make you buy the full version to fix it.

Why are you not allowed to change your antivirus software?
Is it that your parents dont want you downloading things?

Your problem is that you're using Norton
