Some of the better coders should get together on some larger-scale project.
Yes.

Too late, Randy. Mwahahaha! Lol.

Here's a quick demo of the litte bit of work I've done on the duplicator.  You'll see it duplicate (make temp brick copies) of all the bricks supported by the baseplate I tap with the wrench.  Then I delete the actual bricks, leaving only the semi-transparent, collision-free shell of the original building.

that is exactly how i meant it to be... now it jsut eneds to be movable and placeable

Here's a kickass screenshot I took after using the duplicator on Zor's Bedroom build.  The results are pretty amazing.

All you did was repaint it. :-P
I kid.  :cookie:

Is there a /command? And what does the GUI say?

Yes, there are /slash commands.  There is no GUI as of yet.  Also, the duplication part itself is not done.  All it can do right now is make temp bricks for all the bricks based on the brick you select and then delete the originals (if you choose).  It can also clear the temp bricks you make.  I haven't started the code to move / replant the bricks yet.

Yes.
The main problem with that is getting the code file between people and updated without conflicts (I edit V2 and add a extra /command, someone else makes a GUI for V2 - which to keep?) and "host-only" features such as the console and Mission Editor if you're going to have everyone in the same server

You give everyone a different job.

That's why there's SVN and the likes.

any progress thus far?

I've just been working on mine, it's only going to create a temp brick of the brick you hit, otherwise the lag would be unimaginable. It should be done soon.

Haha, I doubt mine will be creating all those tempbricks at once.  I just set it up that way temporarily so people could easily see its ability to select bricks.

You just gave me an idea...
I'ma do it.
