Author Topic: Badspot buys an old arcade game for 7 1/2 blockland keys ($150.00)  (Read 5236 times)

I wonder what Badspot thinks of everybody here stalking  him all the time to the point of looking for him on other websites, and everybody demanding he does stuff for them all the time.

Ohhh okay, in that case I'll probably get a machine with a switch that can do that so I can just play it for hours and hours.

He does mean almost every machine but even ones that don't have such options still are easy to get unlimited credits. My grandpa used to have a car lot with a double dragon machine in the back and you just had to unhook the wire that was on the coin slot and then tap it against another wire and hold them together and the credits would fly up to 99 and then we'd just play all the way to the end.

I'll keep that in mind if I can ever get my hands on a machine, I once almost got my hands on one but I was to young to get it and no one else would transport it for me :c

Ah damn you should put up spoiler alert now I know what those buttons in video 2 do already ):
:(

(Spoiler) The manual also tells you why the coin door takes 20 wires on page 51.

EDIT: I pulled out my coin acceptor to compare. It's got 3 wires: ground, +12V, and coin (pulses hi for 40ms when a coin passes through). Interestingly enough you program it by putting in 30 coins of the same thickness. That's cool because 1) I can program it to work with any country's currency and 2) I can program it to only accept flattened bottle caps. The one in Badspot's machine is way cooler (and also not a cheap piece of plastic stuff like mine) although it probably only accepts quarters and quarter sized tokens.

A beer bottle cap powered arcade machine would probably be a hit at parties though. Could stick an alcohol sensor in it that doesn't let you play if you've had too much to drink.

Where can I learn to build stuff like this?

I am now going to read each of his posts in his voice.

My parents are planning on getting a old Galaxian arcade machine

I'll make sure not to pay over 150.00, heh

My parents are forbidding me to buy a SNES game for that much...
