what throws me off is that since its not even a coherent sentence or anything, it sounds completely wrong in my head.

People always use this as their argument but there's a simple solution: don't try to make sense of it. Read the words individually, don't try to make a sentence. Think of them each as different words to type. It hasn't been an issue for me at all.
