Author Topic: Anti-Abortion protest at my school  (Read 7007 times)

BEFORE YOU READ: THIS IS NOT AN ARGUMENT ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT IT IS RIGHT OR WRONG TO HAVE AN ABORTION

So basically, a bunch of people at my school were walking around with red tape on that read "Pro Life". They refused to speak and passed out pamphlets of why they weren't talking. I read it and said out loud "This is ridiculous" and said "What if you were raped? Would you still want that child? Or if it was incest?" to the person protesting. She then gave me the middle finger and began crying. Then I seemed like the bad guy and someone told me to apologize. I said I had nothing to apologize for, it was just an opinion. The teacher agreed.

So I ask you, do you think it's school appropriate (High School) to protest and discuss Pro-Life / Pro-Choice?

sure, if they're mature enough to handle other people's opinions

90% of people are not mature enough to understand or are simply too stupid to have their opinion taken seriously in High School, so no, that wouldnt be appropriate to try to force your views on anyone in any situation.

Yeah, unless they only have an opinion because Jesus told them what their opinion should be.

Depends on their maturity.

My school literally does not have this problem

I don't know if it's because it's an international school, or whatever

cut yourself write on your chest "ATHIESM" then buy a gun and rape and murder several women at your school.

They sound pretty stupid, but some people there might have had a lick of sence.

I find it funny because the only people who were really protesting were all girls, and the girl who broke down crying after I expressed an opinion apparently had a 'personal issue' like she was raped or something. I really don't know. I think half of them really didn't understand what they were supporting, and if put in the situation of needing an abortion they would change their mind. Also, this 'sensitive' girl is the same one who implied I have mouth herpes because I have a scar on my lip that's been there since I was 4.

Also this is freshman year they have no loving clue.

Lol, like all the girls at my school are pro-choice

"hue hue pro-life people r stupd loel"

As long as they can accept an opinion beyond theirs, then sure.

What the forget? Who would want their own rights to be taken away?

Well, I can understand people not wanting abortions to happen because of religious reasons, but this is still America, and people should be allowed to have an abortion without religion cutting in.
