Author Topic: Anti-Abortion protest at my school  (Read 6971 times)

yes, protest is fine.  you can't say someone shouldn't be allowed to protest.

their opinion is their opinion. good4them they want humans to produce and not use condoms and have rape victims carry their baby out full term. that's a lovely opinion but just about very person who is pro-life will stuff down your neck over it.
"It's just their opinion, but it's still really dumb." Please shut up and stop trying to derail the topic. He clearly said this wasn't about arguing the legality of abortion.

I think he's trying to say that pro-lifers' opinion shouldn't influence others' personal choices, which is a reasonable sentiment.

but should they be protesting when they don't have a goddamn idea what they're talking about?

It shouldnt be talked about in class or forced onto people because that could make them very uncomfortable and it is the job of the school to make a student feel safe and comfortable at school.

We talked about it in class

And no one flipped their stuff

Pro-Choicers are try to influence other people's choices, also. But yeah, I think people should just make their own decision without anyone else's influences

Pro-choice protests? Blogs? Forums? Just saying.

"Dissension is the highest form of patriotism."

Forcing the govt to constantly check itself can only make it better.  Even if you have no idea what you're talking about, that gives the opposite position more reputability.

forget them.
No one should control what a woman is able to do with her body except her.
I am not for abortion, but it's not my loving decision.  They should have the right to choose.

im not even derailing the topic by far, and secondly, when these kind of topics come up on the forums, there's always going to be an argument.

Don't fight stupidity with logic, though!
