I can tell that you've never even tried to mod the game.

there's plenty of help right on the forum, and it's actual people trying to help
Try to find a good getting started guide that's easily accessible from the forum (I'm not saying that what we have currently is perfect, but that having stuff like that on a forum is worthless, since even the good stuff just fades away very quickly).

okay let me check the wiki first
there isn't one, plus you have third party content on there which is dumb
let me check the forums

they aren't "getting started" guides per se but you can pick and choose what you want to learn first, and there's less handholding which makes you better at it

Targeted at people who already know how the rest works. Plus, assuming that your mod will be the only mod running is ridiculously stupid.

Practically useless unless you understand datablocks.

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=20754.0
Requires you to already know TS.

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=108156.0
The only "torque scripting tutorial" requires me to download a .chm file.

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=66763.0
Images are broken, still requires TS knowledge.

A certain amount of handholding is pretty much needed at first.

that's still more info than the wiki has, and according to this quote

We've been doing pretty fine for months now. I think it's going to stay that way.

you've been without a scripting guide for months
scripting is the only thing you would need a wiki for, and you don't need an entire wiki for that

you've been without a scripting guide for months
Because I:
  • Knew basics about programming before I joined BL
  • Had Port to teach me the basics of TS in person

i meant on the wiki, the wiki has been without a scripting guide for months

sorry, too late
what do you want, France? I practically am you

Yes, we do.
No we don't. Making a blockland wiki is completely unecessary and leads to trouble, Users making pages for themselves sounds pretty selfish, If we want to see content we can look around the forums and ingame, Not on some wiki, The original wiki and wiki afterwards is a example of wiki's getting messed up, This is completely uncessary and users should really stop making them

Let's remove profile pages on the forums too then!

Also, I'd like to tell you the total amount of spambots that have registered so far since I implemented a few new anti-spam measures a few days ago:

0.

Why would you get spambots on a site that nobody uses?
Do all websites automatically get ten spambots upon creation?
