Author Topic: Need help with a new PS3 problem.  (Read 1257 times)

You see, I just got a brand-new PS3 from Wal-Marts, and when I hook it up n' all and turn it on, it shows that it's on but nothing happens at all, I made sure all the plug-ins were in tight but yet nothing happened.

it has no games.

Jjjjust kidding I own a ps3. Google is your friend.

Press and hold the power button until it beeps twice

Or, you know, read the manual. God forbid you do that.

Plug it in.

Is the power button glowing yellow? Or just and light in general?

it has no games.

Read the manual, did everything it said to do.
Plug it in.

It's glowing green, but the screen is the same as if nothing happened. And the "Video" cord is plugged in as well.

Check that you have it on the right input on the tv

it's on the right one.

What kind of tv do you have?

Well, one's logo says "MAGNAVOX" and the other one I tried has a logo that says "RCA"

This looks about like the Magnavox one.

Then the RCA one, it isn't exactly like it, but it looks close like it, and also, I used to have a original PS3 and it worked on the Magnavox TV but it's disc reader broke.

That's your problem, i think it may not be supported anymore.

MAYBE i'm not sure.

Then your ps3 is already set up as a hdmi.

exchange it for a working one if the hold it till it beeps twice option fails to work.

Vincent is probably right. The new PS3 probably can't support that TV.
HD tv is your possible answer

but it's disc reader broke.
You see, I hate the ps3 only because it's fragile as forget. My BluRay player or something similar broke on it, so I can't play PS3 games.
It basically transformed into a PS2.
