Author Topic: How to store my auth. key into bl?  (Read 1102 times)

Since my bl folder is read-only, I need to enter my authentication key every time i connect to the internet.

Could there be a way how to compress the key.dat somehow to work without being affected by read-only

(And i have tried putting it in read-only, it only makes blockland unable to use)

Your Blockland directory should not be read-only. Go turn that off.

I know that, and i cannot freaking change it. I have made topics about it already.

If that's the case, you'll want to look into that issue rather than coming up with a workaround for it.

Find out admin pass, remove read only
or
ask admin to remove that from it.
OR
Find out admin pass, take ownership of C:/ and give self admin status.

How is that related to anything ...?

An inability to change the read-only properties of C:/ means that a user does not have administrative privileges on the computer, so the admin password is required to change anything.

I don't have the inability, its a bug what doesn't allow me to remove read-only, even if i uncheck it.

Move the folder out pf Program Files or run Blockland as the administrator.

You know we've passed v19, right?

Read Only will appear unchecked regardless of the current setting. It's not a bug. Re-Install Blockland.

are you using norton
for whatever reason when i was using norton everything was read-only in my user folder
