Whatever you get, get something Pioneer. They're the best.

I'll check them out :D Thanks

If you want a good brand for bass, I recommend Kicker. I have all 6x9" Kicker door speakers and not only do they sound amazingly clear, but they produce good bass for door speakers. Some even come with tweeters which focus on higher frequencies for added clarity. The only problem is they can be somewhat expensive. You didn't specify a budget though so I have nothing to go off of.

As for being afraid of "looking nice" causing breakins. Most door speakers are completely covered unless modified so you won;t have to worry about how they look.

How much exactly are you looking to spend? Car speakers come in packs of two so you would be paying for 2 front speakers, and paying for 2 rear speakers. Also, what size speakers do you need? If you don't know the sizes post the exact year, make, and model of the car and I will just look it up via crutchfield.

Once you post the budget and size I can post suggestions better suited for you.

Its a 97 toyota carolla. My budget is around 300 or less for both front and rear speakers. I don't want to go all audiophile on it, just some good speakers for music when driving around.

Listen to headphones like everyone else lol

Okay well whatever you go with the speaker sizes for your car are 4" speakers for the front, 6 3/4" speakers for the rear.

With a budget like that you can pretty much go with anything you like. I still would recommend Kicker just because they provide decent bass for speakers and are very clear. I looked up all the speakers you need on Amazon and everything together would cost about $130. You can find them at other places but I just used Amazon because it seems like many people here use it:
4" Kicker Speakers
6 1/2" Kicker Speakers

If you want to go with different brands 2 other trusted ones are Pioneer and Alpine.

Pioneer would run about $70 for everything.
Alpine would for the higher quality speakers would run $175.

All of the speakers I talked about come with tweeters which will give you clearer sounding music. You may notice though I said that the back speakers are 6 3/4" but I listed all 6 1/2" speakers. Generally 6 3/4" speakers are a pain in the ass to find. I had this same problem with my old car so I just went with 6.5" speakers, they work fine.

Hope all this helped.

Thanks alot man :D

No problem.

I've completely redone the entire audio system in my car as well as added subwoofers. Doing all this I've learned quite a bit about car audio. So whenever I have the chance to help people with it I gladly do it.
