Most rich people don't buy Fourth Generation Russian fighter jets, demilitarize then, get the appropriate paperwork, and them fly them. It's highly unlikely that there is a single person in the US that privately owns a Sukhoi Su-35.

Just a month ago at the Offutt AFB Air Show in Bellevue, NE, they had a civilian team with MiG fighter jets perform.

Please get your facts straight.
And yes, they DO use foreign jet models for flight training.
It is very common for them to be using Russian jets.

Here's all the privately owned Sukhoi jets in America, none of them are 35s. I'm honestly surprised there are as many as there are so I'll admit that I stand corrected but it's still unlikely that those jets were 35s. There are a total of three in Colorado so I'd be very surprised if the jets you did see were actually 35 but I won't rule it completely out.

No, it proves that they were definitely not not SU-35s. No one in the US owns a SU-35.


Edit:
Most of those jets are not 4th generation fighters either, the likelihood of seeing one is very low, it's much more plausible that whatever aircraft was some American made F jet.

After a second look, no one in Colorado owns a fighter jet by Sukhoi.
